Madrasah Policy Transformation (From Nizamiah to Early Indonesian Independence)

This article attempts to discuss how the transformation of the madrasah founded by Nizham al-Mulk to its presence in Indonesia and recorded in the National Policy. The research method used is library research research and is qualitative in nature, namely trying to describe or present data and information in depth and intact, then analyzed. This article finds that there has been a transformation of Madrasah from Madrasah Nizamiah to Indonesia. This article concludes that an educational institution called Madrasah in Baghdad inspired the Islamic education institutions in Indonesia brought by the kingdom in Indonesia. The arrival of the Dutch and Japanese by issuing educational policies transformed Islamic educational institutions. After Indonesia's independence, religious education has received serious attention from the government, both in public and private schools.
